I want to use a digital camera image In Summary

If all this seems too technical, don’t worry,
just use your common sense!

Zoom in on a section of your chosen
image on screen using your normal photo-
viewing application. When that section is
about as big as you think it’ll be when
printed, stand back a few feet and just
use your imagination!

Remember, big posters work best when
viewed from a distance, and this can be
quite forgiving if your image is a little
pixely. However, if your image is badly
blurred or of poor quality then your poster
will be the same, only much bigger,
so choose your best one!

- Please send your image as a
JPEG (.JPG) at max quality.
If you can't do this, tell us what
you can send here, and we'll let
you know if that's ok.

- The higher the original images
resolution, the better your poster.
- As a rule of thumb, an
original JPEG file with size
between 1 - 2mb is ideal for
posters between A2 and A0
.
- For ‘Lifesize’ images, send
JPEG’s between 2 - 4mb.
(See here for poster sizes).

These aren't strict guidelines -
smaller files can still have
huge impact if, for example,
your poster is on show at a function and will be viewed
from several feet away by
an audience!

We've seen some of the
dodgiest images bring the
house down - because a great
picture is still a great picture!

I’ve got a photo print / drawings / painting etc

Got a desktop scanner?
Many of our customers simply
scan their prints / illustrations
and send us a high resolution
JPEG file (see above for ideal
file sizes).
If your original artwork is too
large to scan, try taking a digital

photo of it in ‘macro’ mode.
Inspect your digital image for
camera shake, focus, bad
lighting etc before sending
